IDEA Part C is committed to family involvement; parents are a key part of the team supporting their own children’s development, are encouraged to know and act on their rights, and are welcomed to participate in providing advice and assistance to their state Part C programs   There are OVER 300 discretionary projects addressing the early childhood provisions of IDEA, all funded by OSEP (Office of Special Education Programs). Project areas included: Research and Innovation; Personnel Preparation; Technical Assistance & Dissemination, Parent Training & Information, State Improvement; and Technology and Media Services.
